Privacy

I don't sell or rent your information, and I don't share it for advertising.

When you send a message, a print or licensing inquiry, or a speaking request, what you enter in the form (your name, email, and the details you give) comes to my inbox, and you get a copy by email. I use it only to reply.

Google Analytics tells me which pages people visit, roughly where they are, and what device they use, and keeps that data for up to 14 months. I don't use its advertising features. Microsoft Clarity records how visitors move through pages, such as clicks and scrolling, so I can find and fix confusing spots. Both place cookies on your computer or device, and the site still works if you block them.

These companies help run the site, and each handles the part of your information its service needs: Amazon Web Services (hosting and email delivery), Google (email and analytics), and Microsoft (Clarity). I don't give your information to anyone else unless the law requires it.

You can email damon@damonbatesphotography.com to see, correct, or delete the information I hold about you. This site isn't meant for children under 13, and I don't knowingly collect their information.

The photographs

The photographs on this site, including the Jim Bates archive, and the writing are protected by copyright. You're welcome to read, link to, and share these pages. Please don't copy the photographs, use them to train AI, mine them for text or data, run facial recognition on them, or make AI-generated images from them without my written permission.

Prints and licensing are arranged one at a time, with the terms agreed for each order or license.

This site is provided as it is, and I'm not responsible for losses from using it or from the sites it links to. These terms are governed by Massachusetts law.
